Raio has decided to commit to sustainability: reducing the impact of its operations and growing the business with an increasingly sustainable focus. We are moving towards being plastic-free (reducing small plastic components and opting for alternatives with recycled and environmental value) and adopting green best practices.
We choose raw material partners who share our “reuse, reduce, and recycle” philosophy, using 100% recycled steel and particleboard with high recycled wood content in our products. Any virgin wood used comes from legally managed forests; wood from illegal logging, genetically modified tree species, or areas of high environmental value is explicitly excluded from our supply chain.
Raio aims to reduce its short-term impact with an additional 15% reduction in plastic use within its packaging. We also intend to increase the use of recycled paper (FSC Recycled) to pack and protect our equipment throughout our operational activities. RAIO is committed to a lower-emission future for a more sustainable and resilient world. This is how RAIO adds sustainable life to the world.

Promoting ethical behavior, respect for human rights, and respect for fundamental labor rights fosters more prosperous and capable communities. Certification
RAIO holds the ÁguedaRecicla+ certificate in recognition of its best practices in recycling. The company is a member of the joint initiative between the Municipality of Águeda and Sociedade Ponto Verde.
RAIO is certified by PONTO VERDE for fulfilling its environmental responsibilities in packaging waste management, adhering to the Integrated Packaging Waste Management System.
As an environmentally friendly company, RAIO adheres to the integrated management system for used oils with the SOGILUB certificate. It complies with all legal and civic requirements for used oil treatment, actively contributing to environmental protection.
RAIO is a signatory of the Decarbonization Roadmap for the Metal Furniture sector, developed by Abimota, committing to the adoption of decarbonization measures within the industry.
